At Wickenburg Community Hospital (WCH), our volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization.
They join our team from different backgrounds. Many of them are retired professionals, students, and those who simply have a passion for giving back and serving their community. They offer their time, expertise, and resources and expect nothing in return. Their acts of kindness and generosity bring hope and support to those who need it the most. At WCH, volunteers play an essential role in providing support to our patients and their families. They greet and guide patients, offer a listening ear, and a friendly smile to those who may be experiencing a difficult time. Not to mention they provide retail therapy to patients and staff at the gift shop. Volunteers do more than simply help patients and their families – they provide support for our staff. They assist with administrative tasks, deliver medications for the pharmacy, and provide an extra set of hands when there are important projects that need to be completed. Their presence and impact boost morale and create a positive work environment. We want to thank our volunteers for their support and dedication. Their efforts are genuinely appreciated, and we can’t thank them enough for the joy they bring to our patients, families, and hospital staff.
